Our Story
A Family Dojo in the Heart of Denver
Rhyno's Peoples Kenpo Karate began the way a lot of great things do — as a family. When the Dougherty boys started training in Hawaiian Kenpo, Ryan stepped onto the mats to chase a lifelong dream of his own, and Shiloh joined to keep the family together. That same spirit is what you'll feel the moment you walk in.
Native Coloradans for over 40 years, the Dougherty family opened Rhyno's to give Denver and Lakewood a place where anyone — any age, any experience — can build real skill, confidence, and belonging. From our littlest Safe Side students to adults training Kenpo, BJJ, and kickboxing, everyone here is treated like family.
